180mm Midget / Sprite Race Steel cover Clutch

Having struggled with mexico rally clutches and their heavy steel carriers and been concerned by the race clutches without sprung centres (that destroy midget gearboxes) we searched long and hard and had many a discussion with our suppliers before we managed to get this clutch. This is probably the best combination of performance/reliability and price available. Contact us for more detail on fitment - don't worry your existing flywheel will probably be fine although we also have a low rotational mass flywheel available too.

Weight 2.7 kg
Available with or without pad for carbon thrust. Suitable for use as an economy race clutch or to replace a standard 165 diam clutch in a standard or modified road car.
Without carbon thrust, a roller release with concentric movement will be required.

Flywheel will need new tappings & dowels to suit if flat steel type & step removing from standard flywheels. We can do this for you for £50

All our clutches are available with sprung or solid driven plates in organic or cerametallic materials. For use in Midgets, it is strongly recommended a sprung centre be used to give some protection to the transmission.
