* * Stop Press * * Two teams from the SRGTC series finish 3rd and 9th in the 6 Hour Relay Race at Silverstone.

Silverstone 28 October, 57th "Holly" Birkett Relay.
The C23R of Ken Culverwell was part of the leading team that came 3rd Overall and 1st in Class out of the 50 team entry to this seasons closing event.
Yes this race attracted the best part of 300 cars for a Handicap Endurance Relay race with on average 50 cars on the circuit at all times.

Our Lotus 23b replica was part of   "The Grunties" team of 2 Cobras, 3 Jaguars and the C23R that completed a total of 284 laps of the Northants circuit.
The other SRGTC team "The Belfast Flyers", composed of 6 Crossles, finished in an excellent 9th position.

The C23R finished the season very strongly gaining significant time when on the track and posting its fastest lap of the Silverstone National circuit to date, in a very creditable 1 min 06 secs.
All in all a great way to end the Club Racing season and the success of the two teams demonstrating how competitive the SRGTC series is and no better way to enjoy affordable, competitive and hospitable motor sport.
