FAQ:

Will the brakes fit in my wheels?
-The Mamba big brake kit fits under most 13" alloy wheels and steel competition wheels like Weller. Standard Rostyle wheels could be used with a small spacer but we wouldn't recommend this much stopping power with them! Most Wire wheels will not fit but if you have a setup you think might work then give us a call and we can try to help.

Do I need to modify my hydraulics system?
-No. Our calipers work with the original master cylinder and give a good brake balance with the standard rear brakes. Upgrading to a 3- Cylinder pedal box does have advantages though if you are looking for ultimate track performance.

What Pads should I use?
-We recommend:
-m1144 pads for fast road / lower power cars.
-m1155 or bp20 for track days.
-Hawk DTC30 for race use or DTC50/60 on heavier cars.

Why aren't pads included?
-Pads are not included in kit because there are so many options but are easily available from many stockists including Demon Tweeks, Merlin  Motorsport and Cambridge Motorsport. Pad Prices range from £37 (Wilwood) to £200 (Hawk DTC) for a set.

Why aren't the discs vented?
-Vented discs are much heavier (3kg per disc). Our first version of the kit used vented discs but we have run 245mm solid discs on all our recent race cars including with 10" slicks so there is no need for the added weight of vented discs when running the correct pad spec.

Can the discs be cross drilled and/or slotted / dimpled?
-Yes. They are iron rotors suitable for machining before use.

Why are they not slotted?
-Midgets just aren't that heavy or fast (even the fastest race cars) so they don't tend to create enough pad gas to make it worthwhile. Getting them machined typically costs £100 per pair if you really need it and can be done by most competent machine shops.

Can I purchase spares?
-Yes. All parts are available as spares just give us a call.
